The History
Ochoco Christian Conference Center (OCCC) began with a vision from the Christmas Valley Church in Eastern Oregon.
In 2016, faced with the challenge of long-distance travel to take their growing youth program to camps, the community sought a solution closer to home. David and Janette Roth, local ranchers, felt led to purchase the former Mount Bachelor Academy property in the Ochoco Mountains. The Roths, alongside the community, formed a board of directors and brought in John and Cheree Davis to manage the property. They worked to establish the camp, involving local churches and volunteers.
OCCC has continued to grow, and has shifted its leadership to better involve the Central Oregon area. The vision is to unite local churches to use OCCC as an extension of their ministries, serving people and fostering spiritual growth. Today, the camp serves as a gathering place for groups to connect, learn about Jesus, and support one another in our faith journey.
